Valorie Hansen, Master Esthetician of Skin Rejuvenation has over 10 years experience in skin care. She has worked in Dermatology offices in treating patients with acne, loose skin, brown spots, cellulite reduction, anti-aging, enduomology, chemical peels, jessner's peels, microdermabrasion, thermage and the lastest things in skin care. Skin Rejuvenation also carries some of the lastest and best products for your skin.

What is the Thermage procedure? Thermage is the only available non-surgical procedure for tightening loose skin. Because there is no surgery involved, you will experience virtually no downtime and most return to normal activities immediately following the procedure.

How long has Thermage been available? The Thermage device received clearance from the FDA in July 2002 and has been available in selected physician offices since then. Skin Rejuvenations is the first in the Southern Utah area to offer the newest Thermage technology available the ThermaCool® NXT.

How does it work? A hand piece with a smooth flat tip delivers radiofrequency energy, in the form of heat into the skin. This causes immediate tightening of collagen and then new collagen will form over time resulting in additional tightening.

How long does each treatment take? Including time to prepare your skin the procedure will take 20 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the area treated.

What kind of results can I expect? Your skin can look smoother and more youthful as the tighter underlying collagen offers better support.

How soon will I see results?Most individuals see results gradually within 2-6 months; however some patients see results immediately, but we choose not to over promise.

How long will the results last? The Thermage procedure causes an immediate tightening of the collagen structure with additional tightening over time. Unpublished reports by experienced physicians indicate that results may last 18 months or longer depending on the patient’s natural aging process.

How many treatments will I need? It typically takes just 1 treatment to see improvement. However, some patients may choose to have a second treatment to obtain additional tightening. The skin will continue to improve over a six-month time period as new collagen is formed.

What will I look immediately after the procedure? Can I go right back to work? There’s no special care need after treatment and most patients return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. Redness and/or minor swelling may occur but it should disappear quickly.

Does it hurt?When the energy is applied, you’ll feel an intense but brief heating sensation. To protect the surface of your skin and keep you comfortable, a cooling spray is delivered before, during, and after each application of energy.

Who will perform the procedure?Master Esthetician Valorie Hansen have been extensively trained on Thermage by the manufacturer.

Can I get Thermage instead of a facelift?Thermage can definitely tighten skin but it won’t provide the dramatic results of a surgical facelift. If you would like modest tightening of you skin without surgery then Thermage may be right for you.

    With the new developments, we can target the stubborn areas of the body, like:
  • sagging skin under the arms;
  • loose skin around the knees and the inner thighs;
  • tummy after pregnancy or after weight loss when skin is not as tight as before

Can I avoid other cosmetic procedures if I do this? Thermage is in a class of its own.

Can I get the Thermage procedure if I’ve already had other procedures? Thermage is compatible with most cosmetic procedure; however, you will need to discuss you past procedures, as well as your current expectations, with Valorie.

Is it safe? The Thermage procedure is very safe. Of course, as with any procedure there’s always some risk and Valorie can discuss those with you during your consultation.
